Overview

Nigeria’s pharmacist licensing pathway is regulated by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN). After graduation and a compulsory one-year internship, candidates sit the Pre-registration Examination for Pharmacists (PEP), which is the core licensing exam for local graduates.

PEP = Single CBT MCQ Exam · Internship First · Full Registration After Passing

Prep plan (simple & effective)

  • Pass 1: Do core science domains fast → identify weak areas in pharmacology, therapeutics, and pharmaceutics
  • Pass 2: Drill law, ethics, regulation, and Nigeria-specific practice topics under timed conditions
  • Review: Reattempt missed questions within 48 hours and write out short rationales
  • Final week: Mixed CBT-style sets under time pressure with calculations and guideline-heavy revision
