Thiocolchicoside (4mg) + Diclofenac (50mg)
Skeletal muscle relaxant (thiocolchicoside) and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug—NSAID (diclofenac).
Thioact D 4 Capsule is available as an oral capsule formulation.
Thioact D 4 Capsule typically contains thiocolchicoside 4 mg and diclofenac 50 mg, used in adults for short-term relief of painful muscle spasms. Not recommended for children, pregnant, or breastfeeding women. Use with caution in renal or hepatic impairment; dose adjustment or avoidance may be necessary. Always follow prescribing information and consult a healthcare professional.
Thiocolchicoside acts as a selective GABA-A and glycine receptor agonist, inhibiting spinal reflexes and producing muscle relaxation. Diclofenac inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis, which decreases inflammation and pain. Together, they provide muscle relaxation and anti-inflammatory analgesia.
