Mechanism of action

Binds to the insulin receptor (INSR), a transmembrane tyrosine kinase, activating downstream PI3K-Akt and MAPK pathways, promoting glucose uptake via GLUT4 translocation in muscle and adipose tissue, inhibiting hepatic gluconeogenesis, and suppressing lipolysis and proteolysis, resulting in reduced blood glucose levels.
