Drug classification

Montelukast: Leukotriene receptor antagonist; Fexofenadine: Antihistamine (H1). Combination: Antiallergic.

Dosage form

Film-coated tablet

API strength per dosage

Montelukast 10 mg, Fexofenadine 120 mg per tablet.

Dose

Adults and adolescents (≥12 years): One tablet once daily. Safety and efficacy in children <12 years not established. Use with caution in hepatic impairment; dose adjustment generally not required in renal impairment. Avoid in severe hepatic impairment.

Pregnancy category

Precautions

Hypersensitivity to components, severe renal impairment, hepatic dysfunction, phenylketonuria (if aspartame present), pregnancy and lactation, concurrent use with alcohol or CNS depressants, history of neuropsychiatric disorders, avoid in children under 12 years, caution in elderly, potential for drowsiness, avoid grapefruit juice.
