Clarithromycin strength per tablet in Bioclar 250mg is 250 mg.

Dose

Adults: 250-500 mg every 12 hours for 7-14 days. Pediatrics (over 12 years): same as adults. Children under 12 years: 7.5 mg/kg every 12 hours. Adjust dose in renal impairment. Not recommended in severe hepatic impairment.

Mechanism of action

Clarithromycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, blocking peptidyl transferase activity and interfering with amino acid translocation, thereby inhibiting bacterial growth.
