Mechanism of action

Inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis; also inhibits prostaglandin H2 synthase (PGHS) in the central nervous system, leading to analgesic and antipyretic effects. Results in decreased inflammation, pain, and fever.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen, paracetamol, or excipients, active peptic ulcer, severe hepatic impairment, severe renal impairment, severe heart failure, history of NSAID-induced asthma or anaphylaxis, gastrointestinal bleeding.
