Ceftriaxone (1000mg) + Disodium edetate (37mg) + Sulbactam (500mg)
Ceftriaxone: Antibiotic (cephalosporin), Sulbactam: Beta-lactamase inhibitor. Combination antibiotic.
Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs); sulbactam irreversibly inhibits bacterial β-lactamases; disodium edetate chelates divalent cations, destabilizing bacterial outer membrane and enhancing β-lactam activity. Result: bactericidal effect via inhibition of peptidoglycan cross-linking and β-lactamase-mediated resistance.
