Ambroxol (7.5mg) + Guaifenesin (12.5mg) + Terbutaline (0.25mg)
Expectorant and bronchodilator combination; mucolytic (Ambroxol), expectorant (Guaifenesin), beta-2 agonist (Terbutaline).
Oral drops for pediatric use.
Asthakind-P Drops are typically used in children; dosing is based on age and weight, as per physician guidance. Not recommended for adults. Use with caution in renal or hepatic impairment; dose adjustment may be necessary. Always follow prescribing information and consult a healthcare professional for individualized dosing. Avoid exceeding recommended pediatric doses.
Ambroxol enhances mucociliary clearance by stimulating surfactant production and lysosomal activity in respiratory tract epithelial cells. Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant, reducing mucus viscosity. Terbutaline is a selective β2-adrenergic receptor agonist, relaxing bronchial smooth muscle and causing bronchodilation, improving airflow and facilitating mucus clearance.

Safety in pregnancy is not well established; use only if potential benefits justify potential risks. Consult a healthcare provider before use during pregnancy.
Monitor for hypersensitivity, paradoxical bronchospasm, cardiovascular effects (tachycardia, palpitations), CNS stimulation, gastrointestinal upset, use cautiously in patients with cardiac disease, hypertension, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, peptic ulcer, renal/hepatic impairment; assess cough type, monitor respiratory status, avoid concurrent use with other adrenergics.
Hypersensitivity to ambroxol, guaifenesin, terbutaline, or excipients, severe hypertension, significant cardiac arrhythmias, hyperthyroidism, peptic ulcer, active gastric ulceration, severe hepatic or renal impairment, history of convulsive disorders.
