Dose

Florina G is typically taken as one tablet daily for 21 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day tablet-free interval. Not recommended before menarche. Use with caution or avoid in severe hepatic impairment; contraindicated in active liver disease. No specific dose adjustment for renal impairment, but caution is advised. Always follow prescribing information.

Mechanism of action

Florina G combines ethinyl estradiol, which suppresses FSH via estrogen receptors, and levonorgestrel, which inhibits LH via progesterone receptors in the hypothalamus and pituitary.
