API strength per dosage

10 mg dapagliflozin per tablet

Dose

Adults: 10 mg once daily, with or without food. Not recommended for pediatric patients under 18 years. Use with caution in severe renal impairment; contraindicated in patients with eGFR <30 mL/min/1.73 m². Dose adjustment not required for mild or moderate hepatic impairment.

Pregnancy category

Precautions

Renal impairment, hepatic impairment, risk of ketoacidosis, hypotension, urinary tract infections, genital mycotic infections, volume depletion, elderly patients, pregnancy, breastfeeding, history of bladder cancer, concomitant diuretic use, risk of hypoglycemia with insulin or sulfonylureas, monitor renal function, discontinue before major surgery.
