Dose

Apply a thin layer of Momate Cream (mometasone 0.1%) once daily to affected areas. For adults and children ≥2 years; not recommended for children <2 years. Use the lowest effective dose; avoid prolonged use, especially in children. Use with caution in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Mechanism of action

Binds to cytosolic glucocorticoid receptors, translocates to the nucleus, and modulates gene expression by binding glucocorticoid response elements, suppressing pro-inflammatory cytokines (e.g., IL-1, TNF-α), inhibiting phospholipase A2 via lipocortin induction, and reducing inflammatory mediator synthesis, resulting in anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects.
