Mechanism of action

Antagonizes dopamine D2, D4, and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors, with additional antagonism at adrenergic α1, histamine H1, and muscarinic M1 receptors, reducing dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmission in the mesolimbic pathway, thereby alleviating psychotic symptoms and modulating mood, cognition, and behavior.
