Mechanism of action

Inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis; additionally, inhibits central cyclooxygenase and modulates serotonergic pathways, resulting in analgesic and antipyretic effects.

Pregnancy category

Precautions

History of hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or paracetamol, active or recurrent peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe hepatic or renal impairment, uncontrolled hypertension, heart failure, pregnancy (especially third trimester), breastfeeding, concomitant anticoagulant use, asthma, elderly patients, alcohol use, avoid exceeding recommended dose.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to aceclofenac, paracetamol, or NSAIDs, active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe hepatic or renal impairment, severe heart failure, pregnancy (third trimester), history of aspirin-induced asthma.
