For adults, apply Vonac Gel (Diclofenac) 2-4 grams to the affected area 3-4 times daily. Not recommended for use in children under 12 years. Adjustments may be needed for patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment; consult specific guidelines.

Mechanism of action

Diclofenac inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis. This leads to decreased inflammation, pain, and swelling.
