Dose

Adults: 1–2 teaspoons (5–10 mL) orally, 1 hour after meals and at bedtime. Pediatrics: ½–1 teaspoon (2.5–5 mL) orally, 1 hour after meals and at bedtime. Use with caution in renal impairment; avoid in severe renal dysfunction. Dose adjustments may be necessary in elderly patients.

Indications

Gastric hyperacidity, peptic ulcer, gastritis, heartburn, dyspepsia, reflux esophagitis, indigestion, prophylaxis of stress ulcers.
