Dose

Adults and children ≥6 years: 10 mg once daily. Children 2–5 years: 5 mg once daily. Dose adjustment is generally not required in mild to moderate renal or hepatic impairment; in severe hepatic impairment, consider 10 mg every other day. Not recommended for children under 2 years.

Precautions

Hypersensitivity to loratadine, severe hepatic impairment, renal impairment, pregnancy, breastfeeding, use with CNS depressants, elderly patients, history of seizures, phenylketonuria (for orally disintegrating tablets), potential for drowsiness, avoid exceeding recommended dose, monitor for allergic reactions.
