Mechanism of action

Daflon 500 mg enhances venous tone by modulating noradrenaline-induced venous contraction and increasing venous capacitance. It reduces capillary hyperpermeability and lymphatic drainage by protecting microcirculation from inflammatory processes, primarily through inhibition of P-selectin and leukocyte adhesion, thus alleviating edema and venous symptoms.

Indications

Chronic venous disease, symptomatic treatment of venous insufficiency, hemorrhoidal disease, acute hemorrhoidal attacks.

Side effects

Gastrointestinal disorders (e.g., diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea), neurovegetative disorders (e.g., headache, malaise), cutaneous reactions (e.g., rash, pruritus), and isolated cases of facial, lip, eyelid angioedema.
