Tadalafil
Phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor (PDE5 inhibitor).
Tablet
Tadalafil 5mg per tablet
For adults, the recommended dose of Cialis (Tadalafil) 5 mg is once daily, taken at the same time each day, for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Not recommended for use in pediatrics. Dosage adjustments may be necessary for patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
Tadalafil selectively inhibits phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), an enzyme responsible for the breakdown of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the smooth muscle cells lining the blood vessels supplying the corpus cavernosum of the penis. This inhibition enhances erectile function by increasing blood flow.
Erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, pulmonary arterial hypertension.
