Dose

Adults: 500 mg once daily for 3 days or 500 mg on day 1, then 250 mg once daily on days 2–5. Pediatrics: 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days or 10 mg/kg on day 1, then 5 mg/kg once daily on days 2–5. Renal/hepatic impairment: Use with caution.

Hypersensitivity to macrolides, history of cholestatic jaundice or hepatic dysfunction with prior use, severe hepatic impairment, severe renal impairment, risk of QT prolongation, myasthenia gravis, concurrent use with drugs that prolong QT interval, pregnancy and breastfeeding considerations, potential for drug interactions, pediatric dosing adjustments.

Contraindications
