Choose your starting point
Use short subject blocks to repair gaps, then try a full mixed paper. Keep a calculation notebook, a mechanism comparison sheet and a list of recurring distractor errors. Review the method behind each answer before increasing speed.
Take free Test 1 and request your diagnostic from Results. Use it with the official blueprint to choose three topics to review. One test cannot assess the full syllabus.
GPAT is a postgraduate pharmacy entrance examination. Our practice papers are independent preparation material. A practice mark is not an official percentile, rank or admission result.
Your four-week revision cycle
Adapt this plan to your schedule. You may need more than four weeks. Repeat a week if you need more practice.
- WEEK 01
Map the syllabus
Use a mixed GPAT paper to identify weak subject areas. Separate knowledge gaps, calculation errors and guesses in your revision log.
- WEEK 02
Rebuild foundations
Work through chemistry and pharmaceutics examples with units and mechanisms. Keep short pharmacology and pharmacognosy recall sessions alongside them.
- WEEK 03
Apply and discriminate
Use unfamiliar MCQs. Explain why each distractor is wrong and compare confident answers with guesses rather than chasing attempted-question count.
- WEEK 04
Rehearse and review
Take a timed paper, calculate the marks lost to wrong answers, and revise the highest-impact gaps. Read the official section-timing instructions before your sitting.
A useful 60-minute study session
| Time | Activity | What to produce |
|---|---|---|
| 10 minutes | Recall yesterday’s weak concept without notes | A short explanation or worked method |
| 25 minutes | Answer questions or rehearse a task | Your answer and reasoning |
| 20 minutes | Review mistakes and check the source | A correction and a reason it matters |
| 5 minutes | Plan the next session | One specific topic to revisit |
If you have only 30 minutes, shorten the practice block and keep the review. If you have longer, add a second focused block after a break rather than simply increasing question volume.
Adapt the plan to GPAT
Chemistry and pharmaceutics
Work from mechanisms and equations to unfamiliar examples. For a calculation, write the model and units before choosing an option.
Pharmacology and pharmacognosy
Compare related drug classes and natural-product groups. Explain why a tempting distractor fails instead of memorising an answer position.
Negative marking
Record confident correct answers, uncertain correct answers, wrong answers and omissions separately. Revisit an uncertain correct answer as carefully as a wrong one.
