Choose your starting point
For pre-internship preparation, prioritise concepts you cannot yet explain clearly. For pre-registration, add case reflection from supervised practice. Keep these revision goals separate even when the underlying pharmacy topics overlap.
Take free Test 1 and request your diagnostic from Results. Use it with the official blueprint to choose three topics to review. One test cannot assess the full syllabus.
Pre-internship and pre-registration are distinct points in the training pathway. Consult current Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda notices and the relevant registration authority for your eligibility and requirements. The historic ‘uganda-pharmacy-council’ URL is retained so existing links keep working.
Your four-week revision cycle
Adapt this plan to your schedule. You may need more than four weeks. Repeat a week if you need more practice.
- WEEK 01
Choose pre-internship or pre-registration
Check the current PSU notice and relevant registration guidance for your stage. Use the matching diagnostic. For pre-internship, note foundational concepts you cannot explain; for pre-registration, also identify gaps in applying knowledge to practice.
- WEEK 02
Repair the right kind of gap
Use focused concept review for foundational weaknesses. For applied gaps, reflect on a supervised-practice example and explain the information needed before making a decision. Do not assume the two stages require the same preparation emphasis.
- WEEK 03
Move from recall to explanation
Attempt mixed questions, then explain the reasoning without looking at the answer. Pre-registration candidates can add case discussions from supervised work. Check local requirements using Ugandan sources rather than a neighbouring board’s guidance.
- WEEK 04
Review progress and current notices
Revisit missed topics and use fresh practice where possible. Check the latest notice for your own examination stage; historical notices show the route but do not establish current dates or fees. Plan another cycle around concepts that are still uncertain.
A useful 60-minute study session
| Time | Activity | What to produce |
|---|---|---|
| 10 minutes | Recall yesterday’s weak concept without notes | A short explanation or worked method |
| 25 minutes | Answer questions or rehearse a task | Your answer and reasoning |
| 20 minutes | Review mistakes and check the source | A correction and a reason it matters |
| 5 minutes | Plan the next session | One specific topic to revisit |
If you have only 30 minutes, shorten the practice block and keep the review. If you have longer, add a second focused block after a break rather than simply increasing question volume.
Adapt the plan to Uganda PIE / PRE
Pre-internship foundations
Use foundational practice to identify weak concepts before supervised training. Explain the principle behind the answer, not just the option selected.
Pre-registration application
Relate practice questions to experiences from supervised work. Identify what information you would need before taking the next professional step.
Local guidance
Use current Ugandan notices for the examination process. Do not assume that an old notice or a neighbouring country’s pathway applies to your sitting.
