Choose your starting point
Pair written revision with practical rehearsal. After a question block, select one concept to explain or demonstrate in a safe training setting. Ask a supervisor or study partner for feedback on the sequence and clarity of your actions, not only the final answer.
Take free Test 1 and request your diagnostic from Results. Use it with the official blueprint to choose three topics to review. One test cannot assess the full syllabus.
HPCZ administers licensure examinations across professions and qualifications. Pharmacy degree and pharmacy technology requirements should not be assumed to be identical. Confirm your qualification’s current examination guideline before using the written or practical PPL track.
Your four-week revision cycle
Adapt this plan to your schedule. You may need more than four weeks. Repeat a week if you need more practice.
- WEEK 01
Match preparation to your qualification
Find the current HPCZ guidance for your professional category. Use the appropriate written or practical-style diagnostic. List knowledge gaps separately from tasks you find difficult to explain or demonstrate.
- WEEK 02
Pair a concept with a task
After written revision, rehearse a related calculation, communication or practical sequence in a safe training setting. Ask a supervisor or partner to observe the steps. Online scenarios support reasoning; they do not replace hands-on competence.
- WEEK 03
Work through unfamiliar scenarios
Practise selecting and explaining the next step when the problem is not labelled by topic. Use feedback to improve both sequence and clarity. Check that the assessment guidance you are following applies to your qualification, not another pharmacy category.
- WEEK 04
Review performance and remaining gaps
Compare recent written errors and practical feedback. Rehearse weak steps again with supervision where appropriate. Check current HPCZ candidate instructions and build your next cycle around the competencies that still need work.
A useful 60-minute study session
| Time | Activity | What to produce |
|---|---|---|
| 10 minutes | Recall yesterday’s weak concept without notes | A short explanation or worked method |
| 25 minutes | Answer questions or rehearse a task | Your answer and reasoning |
| 20 minutes | Review mistakes and check the source | A correction and a reason it matters |
| 5 minutes | Plan the next session | One specific topic to revisit |
If you have only 30 minutes, shorten the practice block and keep the review. If you have longer, add a second focused block after a break rather than simply increasing question volume.
Adapt the plan to HPCZ Pharmacy
Written knowledge
Use questions to identify weak concepts and practise giving a complete, relevant answer. Keep an error log grouped by the principle tested.
Practical performance
Rehearse the steps of an assessment, calculation or communication task. Online scenarios support reasoning but do not replace supervised hands-on practice.
Qualification-specific guidance
Check the current HPCZ material for your professional category. Match your preparation to the applicable blueprint rather than to another qualification’s exam.
