Choose your starting point
For Part I, combine a mixed question block with a detailed error review. For Part II, protect time for spoken rehearsal with another person as well as online practice. Mark whether you missed knowledge, information gathering or communication; each needs a different revision activity.
Take free Test 1 and request your diagnostic from Results. Use it with the official blueprint to choose three topics to review. One test cannot assess the full syllabus.
PEBC’s Qualifying Examination has Part I (MCQ) and Part II (OSCE). PEBC has announced that October 2026 is the final Evaluating Examination, and a new international-graduate pathway begins in January 2027. Check the official pathway for your circumstances before choosing Evaluating Exam preparation.
Your four-week revision cycle
Adapt this plan to your schedule. You may need more than four weeks. Repeat a week if you need more practice.
- WEEK 01
Confirm your PEBC pathway
Read the current PEBC pathway, including the January 2027 change, and choose the relevant practice track. For Part I, create a knowledge-and-reasoning error list. For Part II, also record difficulties with information gathering and spoken explanations.
- WEEK 02
Develop the skill your component tests
For MCQ preparation, explain the best answer and identify facts that would change it. For OSCE preparation, practise a conversation opening, focused questions and a clear summary with a partner. Use foundational review where knowledge gaps block either task.
- WEEK 03
Combine knowledge with performance
Use mixed MCQs to practise recognising the task without a topic label. Include spoken rehearsal for OSCE preparation rather than replacing it with more reading. Ask a partner to comment on clarity and missed information as well as factual accuracy.
- WEEK 04
Reassess and plan by component
Review recent errors separately for MCQs and communication. Use a fresh case or question when available. Consult PEBC’s current component guidance and official preparation resources, then decide whether your next cycle should focus on knowledge, reasoning or station performance.
A useful 60-minute study session
| Time | Activity | What to produce |
|---|---|---|
| 10 minutes | Recall yesterday’s weak concept without notes | A short explanation or worked method |
| 25 minutes | Answer questions or rehearse a task | Your answer and reasoning |
| 20 minutes | Review mistakes and check the source | A correction and a reason it matters |
| 5 minutes | Plan the next session | One specific topic to revisit |
If you have only 30 minutes, shorten the practice block and keep the review. If you have longer, add a second focused block after a break rather than simply increasing question volume.
Adapt the plan to PEBC
Part I: decision-making
When reviewing a question, explain why your chosen action best answers the task. Identify which extra information would change that decision.
Part II: communication
Practise opening a conversation, gathering relevant information and summarising a next step in plain language. Written accuracy alone does not demonstrate station performance.
Route-specific foundations
Use the Evaluating Exam track only when relevant to your sitting or foundational revision. Confirm your document-evaluation and examination route directly with PEBC.
