Choose your starting point
Pair each written revision topic with a short oral explanation. At the end of a session, ask a partner to change one detail of the scenario and explain whether your answer changes. Record gaps in knowledge separately from difficulty expressing what you know.
Take free Test 1 and request your diagnostic from Results. Use it with the official blueprint to choose three topics to review. One test cannot assess the full syllabus.
The Pharmacy Council identifies GPPQE as a requirement for pharmacist registration in Ghana. PharmaProLearn offers written and oral practice tracks. Confirm the current format, application route and eligibility with the Council, especially if you trained outside Ghana.
Your four-week revision cycle
Adapt this plan to your schedule. You may need more than four weeks. Repeat a week if you need more practice.
- WEEK 01
Establish written and oral baselines
Check the current Council guidance for your route. Use the written diagnostic to locate weak concepts, then explain a topic aloud without notes. Record both the knowledge gap and any difficulty structuring your explanation.
- WEEK 02
Pair writing with speaking
Choose a weak topic, answer a written prompt and then give a concise oral explanation of the same principle. Have a partner ask why. Refer to current Ghanaian sources for local professional requirements rather than relying on overseas summaries.
- WEEK 03
Handle follow-up questions
Practise with a partner who changes one fact in a scenario. Explain whether that change affects your next step. For longer written prompts, identify and answer each task explicitly instead of writing everything you know about the topic.
- WEEK 04
Review clarity as well as recall
Return to weak topics and compare how clearly you can now explain them. Use fresh prompts to avoid memorising an answer script. Confirm the latest GPPQE candidate information and keep further revision focused on the gaps that remain.
A useful 60-minute study session
| Time | Activity | What to produce |
|---|---|---|
| 10 minutes | Recall yesterday’s weak concept without notes | A short explanation or worked method |
| 25 minutes | Answer questions or rehearse a task | Your answer and reasoning |
| 20 minutes | Review mistakes and check the source | A correction and a reason it matters |
| 5 minutes | Plan the next session | One specific topic to revisit |
If you have only 30 minutes, shorten the practice block and keep the review. If you have longer, add a second focused block after a break rather than simply increasing question volume.
Adapt the plan to GPPQE
Written reasoning
Use structured written practice to make your reasoning explicit. Break a longer prompt into its tasks and answer each one directly.
Oral preparation
Say your answer aloud using a simple sequence: identify the issue, explain the reasoning and state the next step. Invite follow-up questions from a study partner.
Ghana practice context
Use current Ghanaian professional and regulatory resources for local requirements. Keep these separate from general pharmacology and calculation revision.
