Choose your starting point

Start with the practice track for your route, then organise missed topics into science, practice and local requirements. For foreign-trained candidates, reserve dedicated time for Nigerian professional context alongside general pharmacy revision.

Take free Test 1 and request your diagnostic from Results. Use it with the official blueprint to choose three topics to review. One test cannot assess the full syllabus.

Match the plan to your route

PCN’s registration guidance distinguishes internship-related registration requirements and the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Orientation Programme (FPGOP). Examination naming and current notices should be checked with PCN. The platform retains its existing pre-registration and foreign-exam track names for continuity.

Your four-week revision cycle

Adapt this plan to your schedule. You may need more than four weeks. Repeat a week if you need more practice.

  1. WEEK 01

    Confirm your registration route

Check PCN’s current instructions for local graduates or foreign-trained candidates. Take the diagnostic for the appropriate PPL track. Sort errors into pharmacy knowledge, practical decisions and local professional requirements.

  2. WEEK 02

    Address the main knowledge gaps

Choose two weak concepts and study them in depth. For each, complete practice and write the principle behind a corrected answer. Foreign-trained candidates should keep dedicated time for Nigerian practice context alongside general pharmacy revision.

  3. WEEK 03

    Apply knowledge to scenarios

Use mixed practice to identify what action a question is asking you to take. Explain the relevant facts and avoid importing another country’s legal rules into a Nigerian scenario. Check uncertain local points against current PCN materials.

  4. WEEK 04

    Recheck your route and progress

Retry weak topics and use fresh questions where available. Review the current PCN examination notice and application instructions. Let unresolved gaps determine your next cycle rather than treating a remembered test score as a readiness guarantee.

A useful 60-minute study session

TimeActivityWhat to produce
10 minutesRecall yesterday’s weak concept without notesA short explanation or worked method
25 minutesAnswer questions or rehearse a taskYour answer and reasoning
20 minutesReview mistakes and check the sourceA correction and a reason it matters
5 minutesPlan the next sessionOne specific topic to revisit

If you have only 30 minutes, shorten the practice block and keep the review. If you have longer, add a second focused block after a break rather than simply increasing question volume.

Adapt the plan to Nigeria PCN

Choose your route

Local-graduate and foreign-trained pathways require different preparation decisions. Confirm your own PCN instructions before choosing the practice track.

Knowledge in practice

Review pharmacy scenarios by identifying the problem and explaining the action you would take. Use wrong answers to locate the underlying knowledge gap.

Nigerian requirements

Read current PCN publications for professional and regulatory requirements. Avoid importing another country’s law into your local-practice revision.
