Choose your starting point
Keep your NAPLEX and law revision logs separate. Use mixed NAPLEX practice to locate weak topics, then add short calculation drills. Allocate a distinct session to the official law materials for the jurisdiction where you are applying.
Take free Test 1 and request your diagnostic from Results. Use it with the official blueprint to choose three topics to review. One test cannot assess the full syllabus.
NAPLEX and pharmacy jurisprudence examinations serve different purposes. NABP offers MPJE and the Uniform MPJE (UMPJE), with requirements depending on the jurisdiction. The app’s existing law track uses the internal code ‘umpje’; it is general jurisprudence practice and is not a promise of complete state-specific MPJE or UMPJE coverage.
Your four-week revision cycle
Adapt this plan to your schedule. You may need more than four weeks. Repeat a week if you need more practice.
- WEEK 01
Separate NAPLEX from jurisprudence
Confirm the examinations required by your jurisdiction. Take the NAPLEX diagnostic and map weak topics to the current content outline. Keep any pharmacy-law preparation in a different log so its requirements and sources stay distinct.
- WEEK 02
Build a calculation and care routine
Work through short numerical exercises with full working, then review medication-use scenarios. Categorise mistakes as missing knowledge, wrong interpretation or incorrect method. For law revision, use the current sources relevant to your jurisdiction.
- WEEK 03
Use mixed timed practice
Attempt a mixed NAPLEX block without referring to explanations between questions, then analyse your decisions. If using the general jurisprudence track, check its scope carefully; do not infer that it covers every state-specific MPJE or UMPJE requirement.
- WEEK 04
Audit what still needs work
Revisit unresolved topics and compare fresh practice where available. Confirm current NABP and jurisdiction instructions. A better score on repeated questions can reflect familiarity, so also check whether you can explain the principles independently.
A useful 60-minute study session
| Time | Activity | What to produce |
|---|---|---|
| 10 minutes | Recall yesterday’s weak concept without notes | A short explanation or worked method |
| 25 minutes | Answer questions or rehearse a task | Your answer and reasoning |
| 20 minutes | Review mistakes and check the source | A correction and a reason it matters |
| 5 minutes | Plan the next session | One specific topic to revisit |
If you have only 30 minutes, shorten the practice block and keep the review. If you have longer, add a second focused block after a break rather than simply increasing question volume.
Adapt the plan to NAPLEX
NAPLEX practice
Use the current NABP content outline to organise revision. For every missed scenario, write the clinical or medication-use principle that you need to revisit.
Calculations
Practise converting units, interpreting concentrations and checking whether an answer is plausible. Keep a separate list of formula-selection and arithmetic errors.
Jurisprudence separately
Confirm whether your board requires MPJE, UMPJE or another assessment. Study the current applicable law; a general question bank cannot substitute for jurisdiction-specific requirements.
