The SAPC pre-registration exam sits inside the pharmacist internship programme, so eligibility is not simply a matter of choosing an exam date. Internship progress and required evidence must be in place before booking.
APPLICATION PATH
Work through the route in the right order
01
Check first-attempt eligibility
SAPC's public exam page states that first-time candidates are normally eligible after completing five months of internship, meaning they are in at least their sixth month by exam day, or another period determined by Council.
02
Check CPD evidence before booking
The same guidance requires at least six CPD entries and competence in three entries by booking for a first attempt. Use your current SAPC profile and manual to confirm what applies to you.
03
Book within the current SAPC window
Use the pharmacist intern portal and the current Council communication. Do not carry an old timetable forward because exam dates and delivery arrangements can change.
04
Complete the technology and conduct checks
Recent sittings use SAPC's online examination platform with identity checks and remote invigilation requirements. Test the device/software and read the current code of conduct before the sitting.
