The most important PCN application question is which route applies to your training history. Local graduates move through the internship/pre-registration pathway, while eligible Nigerian foreign pharmacy graduates use FPGOP requirements before subsequent registration steps.
APPLICATION PATH
Work through the route in the right order
01
Identify the route that matches where you trained
Use PCN's pharmacist registration page and current training manual. Do not apply FPGOP requirements to a locally trained candidate or assume a foreign-trained candidate follows the identical sequence.
02
Complete the internship/training requirements
PCN describes pharmacist internship as a compulsory one-year continuous training programme for fresh pharmacy graduates in an approved centre under a registered pharmacist/preceptor.
03
Foreign-trained candidates: verify the current FPGOP category
PCN publishes cycle-specific FPGOP requirements, document lists and programme categories. Use the current notice because programme dates, centres, fees and submission details change.
04
Use the current PCN examination/registration notice
Complete the applicable registration, verification, documentation and payment steps using PCN's official portal/instructions, then retain evidence of approval for your next stage.
BEFORE YOU RELY ON AN OLD SCREENSHOT
Candidate checklist
Training route (local or foreign) confirmed
Required internship/orientation stage completed or correctly registered
Academic, identity and professional documents prepared as currently required
Current PCN application/exam notice checked rather than an old cohort post
Registration/exam confirmation retained before travel or test-day arrangements
Current official guidance wins
PCN periodically changes operational instructions and publishes cycle-specific FPGOP/PEP notices. Always use the current official notice for dates, fees, centres and document submission.
