Rwanda's National Pharmacy Council currently reports written pre-registration examination results first and then schedules an oral examination. That two-stage sequence means candidates should prepare both written knowledge/application and concise spoken professional reasoning.
AT A GLANCE
What matters first
Stage 1Written examination
NPC publishes written examination calendars/results before the oral stage.
Stage 2Oral examination
Recent NPC result notices schedule the oral after written results for the same session.
Current detailsSession notice controls
Timing, venue, appeal and oral arrangements are published for the specific examination session.
HOW TO READ THE EXAM
Understand the assessment before you optimise your revision
Written preparation needs breadth and application
NPC guidance has historically covered pharmacy law/regulation, pharmacology/toxicology, therapeutics, pharmacy practice, pharmaceutics and supply-chain/logistics. Treat the current Council guidance as the final scope for your sitting.
Oral preparation needs structured communication
Practise giving a clear answer in a short sequence: identify the pharmacy issue, state the safe professional response, explain the reason and clarify what extra information you would need. Avoid memorised speeches that collapse when a follow-up fact changes.
Use the result notice to plan the next stage
NPC session notices communicate written results, appeal arrangements and the oral schedule. Keep monitoring the Council after the written paper rather than assuming the rest of the timetable is unchanged.
Current official guidance wins
Current NPC session notices are the authority for the exact written/oral timing and venue. Older requirements can help explain the structure but should not override the latest Council communication.
