The GPPQE is a registration requirement for pharmacists in Ghana, but eligibility depends on qualification and professional-training history. The Council publishes separate expectations for fresh graduates and foreign-trained/practising pharmacists.

Work through the route in the right order

Confirm that your pharmacy qualification is accepted
The Council lists BPharm, MPharm, PharmD or an approved equivalent that qualifies the holder for registration in the country where it was obtained.

Complete the internship requirement that applies to your route
The Council describes a rotational internship for fresh graduates and an abridged route for qualifying foreign-based practising pharmacists, with a satisfactory preceptor assessment required.

Apply using the Council's current GPPQE process
Complete the prescribed registration process, pay the current fee through the official instructions and submit any requested forms/documents to the designated Council channel.

Prepare for all three assessment components
Exam-day preparation must cover MCQ, essay and oral arrangements. Read the sitting notice for venue, permitted stationery, reporting time and any updated instructions.
